The Hardhat Initiative (HHI) is a a business-led program focused on preparing women and other underrepresented groups for leadership and ownership roles in construction. While many programs address workforce entry, HHI targets the root gap in equality - access to decision-making authority - by teaching the business, operational, and leadership skills required to run projects, teams, and companies. The Initiative is inclusive by design and centered on leveling the playing field through capability, accountability, and shared leadership - not exclusion. HHI supports women not just as participants in the trades, but as the owners, employers, and leaders within them.
